IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button 6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.

i hate it when people in bands put out solo records or start side projects that sound exactly like the band they were in in the first place. having said that, the Albert Hammond Jr. solo album is a bore. it's full of what sounds like songs that The Strokes thought weren't good enough to go on their albums. if you want to hear it for yourself and can't find it ('cos it hasn't been released in the states) im me and i'll send it to you. the Cobra Starship album sucks too.

so, kelli and i went to see Gym Class Heroes at the Knitting Factory. it was great. GCH put on a great show. i gave Joe Pending a copy of the new AWK album, he was psyched. kelli, milli, kaitlin, and i went to see The Strokes up at Cornell. it was milli's first time. they are amazing. they didn't play much Room On Fire (just the singles off it) but that didn't bother me nearly as much as the terrible crowd. it must have been what seeing them at that Roseland show was like for amy. nonstop fat crowdsurfers and i almost got into two fights. bleh. laura, robnolan, kelli and i went to see Adam Green at the Bowery Ballroom. Jeff Lewis opened, he was amazing. Adam was the drunkest person in all the land, it was glorious. the band got so mad at him 'cos he didn't want to stop playing after two hours and they did. Adam Green setlist way out of order: Apples I'm Home Mozzarella Swastikas Dance With Me Computer Show Her Father And Her Baby's Gonna Die Tonight Times Are Bad Can You See Me? Bleeding Heart Bluebirds Hard To Be A Girl Jessica The Prince's Bed Bunnyranch Friends Of Mine Broken Joystick I Wanna Die Salty Candy No Legs Gemstones Down On The Street Over The Sunrise Crackhouse Blues Carolina Emily Pay The Toll Hollywood Bowl Novotel Hey Dude Nat King Cole Animal Dreams Cast A Shadow Drugs Hairy Women Heart And Soul new song ps, i won an autographed copy of the Cartel album. lolz. EDIT: i forgot that Adam Green also played a new song that he did not tell us the name of. i added it to the list.
Fri, Aug. 25th, 2006, 03:58 am this is silly.

amy invited me to go to warped tour with her (my scratchoff and tshirt are still in your car, amy. you can cash the scratchoff for yourself if you want, but i need that 1997 tmbg tour shirt). it was fun. watched some Bouncing Souls (good), Jay Tea (silly), Cartel (no good), Saves The Day (good), Gym Class Heroes (best), Saves The Day again (good). STD are playing the donkey, maybe i'll go. the next day Milli, Andrew, and i went to see Gravy Train!!!!. i love them. they were so much fun and i think Chunx might be my bffl. setlist (out of order): (Ev'rybody Do) The Thingy Burger Baby Darque Tan Double Decker Supreme Ghost Boobs Gotta Get Outta Batwiddicals Hella Nervous Hump Lites I Wanna Wanna Wanna Wanna Wanna Wanna Wanna Get Rid Of You Jonny Makeup Pussy Sauce Titties Bounce two days after that Kelli, Laura, Milli, Andrew and i went to see Poison. they were fun. C.C. Deville is the funniest man in the entire world. Cinderella opened. they were terrible. blah blah blah. i have nothing to say ever.

"no one's gonna name their kids 'timmy' in the future" -keith hecht
"It's a pretty cool concept. It's supposed to be a secret, but I'll let the cat out the bag — it's all stickers," he explained. "It's really pretty amazing. The artwork is laid out in stickers, it's modular, the cover is blank and you get a sheet of stickers and you make your own cover." -Beck on the artwork for his next album that's due out this fall. brilliant. there will also be a 10 year anniversary 2-disc edition of Odeley out this year.

chelsea tagged me 'cos my own brother hates me.: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your live journal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to. I haven’t really been listening to much other than Half-handed Cloud for the past week, but for the sake of keeping it interesting I expanded ‘right now’ a little bit. 1. Belle And Sebastian - The Blues Are Still Blue 2. Apollo Sunshine - Today Is The Day 3. Gnarls Barkley - Gone Daddy Gone 4. Wheatus - Hometown 5. Nellie McKay - Down Low 6. Spankrock - Rick Rubin 7. CSS - Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above no tagz!
